🎨 ArtNight Pasadena – Tonight! 🎭

Pasadena’s premier arts and culture event, ArtNight, is happening tonight from 6:00-10:00 PM! This free event invites you to explore a vibrant mix of visual arts, music, dance, theater, and literary performances at cultural venues across the city.

✨ What to Expect:

• Over 30 local cultural institutions, including the Alkebu-Lan Cultural Center, The Armory for the Arts, The Gamble House, and the USC Pacific Asia Museum, will open their doors for free, inviting guests to experience a rich tapestry of visual arts, literature, dance, music, and theater

• Live performances & interactive experiences

• MiniGrant artists showcasing unique talents

• A night of creativity, community, and inspiration

WHAT’S HAPPENING

Friday

• 🎨ArtNight: Experience a vibrant evening of free arts and culture, featuring live music, theater, dance, and exhibitions at venues across the city from 6 PM to 10 PM. Free shuttle buses will be available from multiple locations across Pasadena, providing easy access to all ArtNight partner venues throughout the evening.

• 🐱🎨 Meow N Paint: Unleash your inner artist with Tail Town Cats at this purrfect cat-themed painting night at 6 PM. Enjoy a BYOB-friendly creative experience where all art supplies are provided to help you craft your own Meowsterpiece—surrounded by adorable feline friends!

• 🧘‍♂️ Caltech Tai Chi Club: Join the Caltech Tai Chi Club for a free Hao-style tai chi chuan session from 7 to 9 PM. Open to all levels, including beginners, the class also includes practice in Yang-style tai chi, kung fu, and other forms in a supportive, no-pressure environment.

• 🎨 Teen Art Workshop at Norton Simon Museum: High school students are invited to a hands-on workshop at the Norton Simon Museum with artist and teacher Michelle Ohm to explore painting, drawing, and embroidery on fabric. Inspired by the vibrant depictions of women’s clothing in the museum’s collection, participants will learn to translate patterns, textures, and colors from historical paintings into textile-based compositions. No prior experience needed—just a passion for color and creativity!

• 🍀 Pasadena St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl: Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day early with a bar crawl at 72 North Fair Oaks Ave, Pasadena. Enjoy free entry to 4+ bars, exclusive drink specials, and a festive crowd.

• 🎤 Go Fact Yourself – Live Trivia Show: Join J. Keith van Straaten and Helen Hong for a hilarious pop culture trivia night featuring comedian Aparna Nancherla and surprise celebrity guests.

• 🎵Respite Recital: The Gamble House celebrates music and community in an afternoon of serene settings.

• 🎶Music on the Corners: Join the community for a free outdoor concert at 1375 New York Drive, Altadena, at 1 PM. Music on the Corners is a volunteer-driven event designed to bring solace and restore joy through live music. Musicians are welcome to participate—just bring your instrument!

🗳️ Legislative Policy Committee Meeting – Tonight! Pasadena’s Legislative Policy Committee meets tonight at 6 PM in the City Hall Council Chambers to discuss key policy matters. Chaired by Steve Madison, with members Jason Lyon, Gene Masuda, and Jess Rivas, the committee convenes every 1st Tuesday of the month, unless a Special Meeting is scheduled. Free and open to the public.

💃🎶Artes Vocales Presents Let’s Tango

Music on the Corners is a volunteer-driven event designed to bring solace and restore joy through live music. Musicians are welcome to participate—just bring your instrument! Audience members are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the performances.

🎶 Songs of Renewal – Fire Relief Benefit Concert

Join Lake Avenue Church for a heartfelt evening of music and community support at Songs of Renewal, a fire relief benefit concert, on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 4 PM. Featuring the Lake Chamber Symphony and guest artist Yue Yin, the program includes classical, Broadway, and sacred selections to raise funds for those affected by recent fires. Admission is free, and all donations will support rebuilding efforts.
